Heating and cooling represent the largest share of home warranty claims. Our HVAC service covers central air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, and standard ductwork when mechanical failure occurs during normal use. Seasonal maintenance is encouraged and may be required to keep coverage active for older units.
When your system stops producing cool or warm air, log a claim through your portal. We dispatch a technician who diagnoses the issue, orders approved parts, and completes repairs subject to your plan’s per-visit service fee and annual caps.
From slow drains to failing water heaters, plumbing problems disrupt daily life. HomeShield plumbing coverage addresses leaks in accessible water and drain lines, fixture failures, and many components of tank and tankless water heaters.
We do not cover cosmetic faucet finishes or damage from frozen pipes if the home was unheated, but we clearly document those boundaries in your agreement so expectations stay aligned.
Electrical failures can pose safety risks. Our licensed electricians address breakdowns in main panels, subpanels, wiring, switches, and outlets when failure is due to normal wear—not code upgrades or overloaded DIY circuits.
Whole-home surge protection devices and ceiling fans tied to existing circuits may be included depending on your plan level. We recommend documenting panel age during enrollment for faster claim approval.
Kitchen and laundry appliances are available on Complete and Premium plans or as modular add-ons.
